History
The Association began life in 1976 as the ACT Batik Association, was
incorporated in 1992, then the name changed to the ACT Batik & Surface
Design Association Inc. In 1998 it was again renamed to Textile Art &
Surface Design Association Inc. ACT (TASDA) to reflect the range of talents,
varied techniques and expertise of its members. At our most recent AGM we
have voted to again rename the group ACT Textile Arts Association (ACTTAA)
and the logo and website reflect this recent change.
